If you have a Nationwide Flexaccount debit card, then getting euros from cashpoints abroad, and using it for purchases, is cheap and easy.

I always get excellent exchange rates that way.

Using your Nationwide credit card for purchases only is also cheap and easy.

Take £200 worth of euros for small expenditure, and your cards.

We went on a med cruise a few years ago. We had to register a credit card on the ship and signed for everything we bought there. They give you the bill and charge your card at the end of the cruise. you will need money for when you go ashore though. Hope this helps as we weren't told this before we went!
