unpaid debts

i have unpaid debts at my address, my husband lives there with me , the mortgage is in his name only, we are selling our home and he wants to increase the mortgage , will he be able to with my debts.

If you are married (Which from your use of the word 'husband' I presume you are) then you will be financially linked with your husband - so it will be more difficult to for him to obtain a new mortgage.

Get a copy of your credit file from www.experian.co.uk and find out if the debts are registered, that way you get to see what the lenders see and possibly sort out the debts first.
