how much is the avarage spending in north

anybody knows how much is the average living cost spending for 2 person per month in north area of the country?

can you be more specific? Do you mean mortgage and bill payments etc or petrol, shopping and entertainment costs. If you let me know I am willing to tell you what my costs are from Yorkshire.

hi tigwig, i mean just in general spending on food, drinks,petrol,s hopping , house bills including gas, electricity,water etc. i know everyone's mortgage can be big different, so not including mortgage.

my average main shop is £80 weekly then I stock up again for around £20
diesel for our car is a rip off £1.20 per litre, council tax £120 monthly band 4, water £28, gas £20, electric £25

forgot to add on drinks (the most important) if out a large glass of wine costs around £3 to £5 depending on the place you are!

thanks tigwig, i just started to learn to manage me and my bf's spending, found last month we spent lots even we havnt done much, so just wanna see if thats normal or poor financial control :))

Hi Tigwig,

to break things down for you a bit further the national average for weekly spend on food is 35pw each and this increases to £40pw if you have any pets.

Average council tax is £100pm

Average gas 35pm
elec 35pm

water is 25pm ( for 2) ( 18 for 1)

oh our spending on those all over average now....
we spent about 100 perweek for food and drink (have pet)
just paid 300 gad bill for last few months, and 250 electic bill for 3 month, 380 bill for water from this jan till next april.
council tax no due yet.
apart that have got phone bill, sky bill, car insuarance,house insurance,transport cost like petrol,bus,spending on dog,
feel like working hard for paying bills!!!
