Exchange Of House Sale Contracts

My cousin and i have accepted a price for the sale of a house left to us,the solicitor e-mailed and said contracts have been exchanged but that was about 8 weeks ago.does it usually take this long for the money to come through ?

When the contracts were exchanged both parties should have Been given a mutually agreeable completion date. This is when the sale goes through. Maybe the solicitor is paying outstanding debts before releasing the remainder of the sale money. You need to call them and ask what is going on.
yeah the question to the lawyer is

we've exchanged - when do we complete ? ( and also when do we get the monnay?)

solicitors arent fools and know that you are selling for moolah
and dont let them sleep ! ring every day !
