I have received a payment into my Pay Pal account, but I don't know how to approve and access it - apparently I need to approve within 30 days or it goes back to the payer.

Advice on how to approve and get to the money would be most welcome.

TIA.

I don't recall ever having to approve a payment in. If you log into Paypal can you not just withdraw it?
have you received an email re the payment? if so it's probably a scam

No, it is genuine.

The message is from PayPal, and it concerns a payment I am expecting - a scammer couldn't know the source or the amount.

The query is because the money is in Australian dollars and I don't have that currency set up in my account.

So if anyone can assist, that would be appreciated.
I can't help Andy but is this of any interest to you?

Paypal usually convert currencies to Sterling and vice versa, but they charge for the service.
I'd go to your Paypal account and read up on foreign currencies. Failing that, you can phone them on 0800 3587911 and ask questions about your account, or make a complaint.
I've only had to phone them once, but the man I spoke to was helpful and easy to talk to, not abrupt like some of the ebay people.
Good luck!

For future reference, I logged into my account, and the money was waiting, I just had to click 'Accept' and it hit my account.

Thanks again for your help.
