Lucky you - mine has been over £100 for years.
Gosh...last time I looked at ours it was £121 and that was years ago.
180 here and that's after the 25% rates reduction because of attendance allowance. Down here a G band house pays more than a £20 million property in London.....disgraceful.

Yes £170 less a few pennies a month, but we do get a decent service I suppose.

good heavens, i thought mine was a rip off,
i am on benefits, so not worked for some while, so its lot of money every month.
i could be wrong but i'm guessing if it's around a hundred pounds you're a single occupant?

Yeah, thieving b****** ;)
Shouldn't you be receiving council tax benefits then?
mine is well well well over 100 and that’s with a single occupancy discount
Question Author
ael yes
Joking aside, mine is a tad over £100 for single person occupancy.

The biggest problem with some councils is the fact that they do spend an awful lot on vanity projects and consultants. I know my former local council was appalling for that whilst at the same time cutting services to the most vulnerable.
Question Author
umm not now, I have according to the DWP too much in savings, so have to pay full rent and council tax.
you will probably have to wait two years to get the council benefits, ummmm, says me cynically.

On the advice of the SS assessment, I applied for higher attendance allowance last July, I only got a letter back from the Dept of Pensions just after Christmas - with a form and I am still waiting. The Cornish SS had advised they would support the back-dating of the application to January 01 16....so we are now 15 months due at some £120 a month plus once we have it we can claim a further rates reduction of 25%...so that's a monkey there. Come 01.04, I am writing to my MP (who I know reasonably well).
Ours is £227 per month
Question Author
margo
where on earth do you live, Buck House?
Not unless it's moved to Bedfordshire.
mines £80
£227 a month? i think you'll be pleased to find that's more than the bill for buckingham palace :-)

Question Author
crikey, i hope you get some value for money.
