UKIP thinks this team should be disbanded straight away.

Personally I think it should stay so that they can foster a good working relationship with the EU AND other countries. The UK still has to work (and work hard) on retaining as much good will and fostering new relationships as possible.

What they should do however is make sure the remit is right and that they get results for the money the department is needing.

“Birmingham's Labour-run council says since opening in 1984, the Brussels office and its European team have helped Birmingham access more than £1bn of funding from the European Union (EU) “

Why on earth should Birmingham City Council require an “European & International Affairs team” - plus £120,000 for its office in Brussels. (Sorry, I forgot, nice little jollies for the favoured Councillors).

Well they won’t be getting any more EU funding post-Brexit so they won’t need to have a presence in Brussels. This constant waste of other people’s money by glorified Parish Councils seems to know no bounds.
Hi cassa - I get the references some people make to Remoaners but I always wonder why you always refer to Bretix rather than Brexit- maybe I'm missing something?
