What Could Have Happened To Cause My Credit Rating To Go Down This Month?

Since the scare when TalkTalk's website was attacked, every month I have checked my credit rating with Noddle. Today I am shocked to see that the score has changed, downwards by a half point, for the first time since I joined the site. Nothing has changed regarding my personal finances, as far as I know, and no change from previous months is shown on the report. So does anybody have a clue what could have happened for this change to have taken place? Thanks.

The only thing I can think of, have you taken your credit card usage to over 30% of the limit during the last month. Not sure how accurate that is but have heard it a few times over the years.

Is half a point significant ( I thought scores were in the hundreds on most credit rating systems).
Just look at your record and see if there is anything showing regarding overdue payments
They may have just tweaked their scoring system

ff thank you for your reply. Half a point feels very significant to me when the top score on Noddle is 5* and mine has dropped to 4.5. The maximum points you can get to = a 5* rating is 710 and mine has dropped to 625 this month. I pay absolutely everything by DD and check my accounts daily to make sure everything is in order so, no, I don't have overdue payments. Perhaps I'll sign on with another agency and check my credit rating elsewhere. Do you happen to know which ones do it for free?

ubasses I think you've cracked it. That is exactly what I have done. I have purchased two high value items on a credit card simply because I get 0.5% cashback. My DD will clear it next week though so hopefully my score should be back to normal. My word, they do keep their eyes on you don't they!
So it seems what you've heard is correct ubasses, thank you.
Noddle is Callcredit which is the minnow of the credit checking world so it's all a bit mickey mouse anyway, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
Clearscore is free as well, and is 'partnered' with Equifax.

Thanks guys. I'm happy with ubasses' answer but if my score isn't back to normal next month I'll look at another agency.
