2 Ltd companies with same directors using different parts of the building. Businesses are not connected other than having the same directors. (All family members) The rates are currently assessed on the building as a whole, but I was just wandering if anyone in this situation has been successful in getting the rates split between the two companies? If so is it just a case of showing that they are 2 businesses? One does pay the other rent but there is no formal agreement in place.
