I have been informed that my claim has been rejected due to the claim time had been exceeded. The PPI was taken out in 1995. Is there a time limit as had enclosed with my claim the original statement of payments sent to me on completion of payment.

You have to submit your claim within six years the mis-selling OR within three years of you first becoming aware that you have grounds for a complaint.

Thanks once again Buenchico. What happened was sorting out up in the loft early January found papers with all our payments of a loan we took out for a new kitchen with a add-on for a PPI with GEC? bANK. I phoned the Ombudsman who gave me the phone number for GE Finance who took over their dealings. Sent them the paperwork I had found and they had sent there mail to me to the wrong address. Phoned them today as the 8 weeks were up and they said the claim had been rejected as there records did not go back that far. So waiting for a copy of this rejection letter to see what my next move will be.
