Had the Thunderball on Saturday night £3 okay .Goes into shop to lift it the 3 quid so says to lady just give me another lucky dip t/ball for Wednesday out of the 3 quid .She makes a mistake and gives me a lotto tick at 2 quid .When I pointed this out she said no problem I will change it .No says I ,I could be handing you back a fortune . So I kept it and bought a lucky dip t/b with the remaining 1 pound .Now would anyone have changed it and was it a ploy to get more money from me knowing I most likely would not change it .What do you think .

no i wouldn't bother changing it and i doubt if it was a ploy to get more money, it wouldn't be worth the bother would it?
A definite ploy used up and down the country.

Though that my self Talbot, but we are on to them
A ploy?

Don't be daft.

It takes 2 seconds to cancel an incorrect lottery entry, and given that you could have kicked up a stink it was hardly worth trying to pull a stunt like that, and for what? It certainly wouldn't have been for her own personal benefit.
Ignore B00, weecalf..........she's on the payroll.
Oh yeah, I forgot the back handers I receive from Camelot ;-)

So you would have handed a potential winning ticket back BOO
no, it's a potential losing ticket. More tickets lose than win, remember.
jno please try and be optimistic...I buy a winning ticket every week, it's the machine that gets it wrong.

It wasn't a ploy, just a mistake, but I would have kept it too.
You should have changed.

Given the opportunity to change your original selection, you should always do so.

"So you would have handed a potential winning ticket back BOO"

Yes, provided I paid for it. These tickets aren't free to staff members in a shop. If a ticket's sold the money for it has to go in the till from someone!
