I have a gas safe certificate for a property which I let out. If I have a new gas appliance installed by the person who issued that certificate, do they have to issue a new certificate, or is the existing certificate still valid until its expiry date?

erm well think about it

the old certificate cannot possibly apply to a gas appliance installed after the date of the cert

BUT

Putting it in if he is CORGI which he has to be
then the appliance must be safe on kick-off.

The old cert will apply to the rest of the appliances in the house if any

Corgi? How old school.
corgi no longer ..gas safe..think you will need new certs for later appliances..
CORGI ceased to be used in 2009.
I live, babies, in the past

but hey I'm glad you all know what I meant !
