Business mileage is mileage you travel doing your job. It can include travel to a temporary work place but it doesn't include:
normal travel between home (or anywhere that is not a workplace) and your permanent workplace
private travel

Yes, the mileage first of all has to qualify and normally ho e to work mileage doesn't qualify unless it's to one or more temporary places of work.
If your employers pays nothing, or something less than 45p a mile, you can claim tax relief on the difference.
The best you can get is if the employer pays nothing in mileage allowance. You can then claim relief on 7500 x 45p = £3375. If your marginal rate is 20% that's worth £675

Factor-fiction So if a mileage of 7500 is submitted you should get £675 back?
depends on other factors.
...You won't get anything back if the mileage is purely "ordinary" commuting.
Are you employed or self employed?
If you are employed are you saying the employer doesn't pay for your business mileage?
Is this travel to your main place of work? That is not business mileage
Is it your own car or a company car?
Do you mean 2014/15 tax return? You haven't done the mileage yet.
Just looking through my subscribed threads- is this resolved now, malagabob?
Any update please, bob?
