how long does it take for carers allowance to stop? due to my own ill health i have had to stop getting carers allowance how long oes it take for my benefits to change to just employment and support allowance?

ask the benefit office. Any that you do get paid in error will need to be repaid.

have you told them about your altered circumstances?
They will pay you up to the day? week? you are no longer eligible

They will stop it as soon as you call them - though if a payment is pending it can sometimes be too late to recall it.

Or are you asking when your entitlement stops? Pass on that one.

last payment was on the 9th july cancelled date was 13th july and got a confirmation letter which was dated 13th of july sayingim not intiltled to it from the 14th of july but got my payment of esa on tuesday 24th of july and it was still only the lower payment like when i was getting carers allowance shouldnt this of changed to the highter payment?

Have you telt the ESA section that the CA has ended? It does take time for changes in circumstances to be actioned and if there are arrears payable they can be made by a separate payment. If I were you, I'd 'phone the ESA section and ask if they are aware that the CA has ended and if no, see if they will accept a faxed copy of the letter you have recently received. You may be able to get the local Jobcentre to fax it for you or you could see if they will take a copy of it and they can send it through their internal courier service to the ESA section.
