Gas Oven Hissing Loudly And Flames At Odd Angles.....is This Incurable?

I'd appreciate any advice on my gas cooker. The bottom oven has of late started to be very noisy when lit - loud hissing, almost roaring - and the whereas flames come out of the top of the long oblong...

Fillings

Can anyone explain why, now when i have fillings they come out after a week or two? when i was a kid i had fillings and they lasted 20 odd years, then they were drilled out to be replaced by "new"...
