House owners, mortgage, bad credit rating - own bank will not lend them the money.
Where would be and what would be the cheapest method of borrowing please.

I could not get a mortgage by going to buiding societies direct when my wife and I were 25.
We went to a mortgage broker and got one with ease.
Perhaps a mortgage broker could help the ab find the source of a loan.

If the £20000 is wanted by someone as some sort of debt consolidation then I think they should seek advice from CAB or the debt advice service (I've forgotten their name)
If it's credit card debts then he/she could look for a balance transfer deal, although if the credit rating isn't good that may be difficult
