Paying with Nochex

I would like to bid for a n item on Ebay but the seller wants payment by Nochex because of high charges with Pay Pal. Can anyone tell me if I will incur charges if I pay this way?

Do not pay by NoChex. If you don't receive the goods you will have no comeback whatsover - you will have lost your money.

PayPal charges are not that high and eBay sellers should factor the costs into the item price.

And yes, NoChex does cost you money.

Whatever it is he is selling, a more trustworthy will be selling it, you can be sure.

What item is it? If it is something different from what he normally sells and is an expensive 'must have' item such as a trendy mobile phone then it could be a hijacked account.

NoChex costs the seller as well, and is no cheaper than PayPal so it just doesn't make sense.

I signed up with a nochex account to buy something with a police disposal auction a month ago.

The only thing it cost me was about £1.50 to establish the account. they put it through and you have to confirm the exact amount that comes through your account as a security check.

Yes, Jake - but it still costs the seller.

The worrying bit is that NoChex offers no security at all if the eBay purchase goes wrong - they will only liaise with the seller, unlike PayPal.

I can't see why a legitimate eBay seller would insist on NoChex instead of PayPal.

It's just an £10 Orange top up voucher and there are several purchasers who have left positive feedback after buying this item from this seller. Interested in your comments.

Yes Ethel but that's not the question canasta's not selling.

I think there are enough people who don't like PayPal for a number of reasons - As I say the Police use NoChex on bumblebee - I guess they're legitimate.

Setting up NoChex is a bit of a hassle I don't think I'd do it for a £10 voucher.

I think a postal order up to 9.99 is 85p that might be a better proposition.

I'd probably not be too worried about protection on a small value item like that

I have checked the NoChex site and the cost to the seller is the same as PayPal for business sellers.

What's his postage costs like?

Is there anybody else selling that top up voucher?

Postage is free, presumably the code for top up is sent by email. katherin2008 is the seller, payment by cheque not an option but surely that would be unprotected also?? Other vouchers on Ebay but sellers have dodgy feedback or I get a bad 'vibes'.

Why don't you just go the shop and by one or top up by phone?

Credit me with some intelligence Fadeout..... I'm aware of ways to top up but the item I'm looking at would be saving me some money.
