This site is a good place to start.

You need to increase your income or spend less or both Increasing your income may not be an option so the priority is to reduce spending. The site above will give lots of ideas.

A great starting point is to work out exactly where your money goes- how much on food, pub, gas, phone, mortgage etc and then review each one. You may be able to cut out some things altogether. I you have debts look to switch to cheaper debt- see Martin Lewis.

It takes willpower but you can do it. Good luck!

My husband works for a charity called Christians Against Poverty - they are a debt counselling charity who work with anyone free of charge regardless of belief, circumstances etc and help to get people out of debt by liasing with their creditors, banks etc on their behalf, and also teach budgeting skills which may be of benefit to you. Their website is www.capuk.org and on there you will find details of your nearest centre. Hope that everything works out for you - let us know!!

I have no problem with the credit crunch. I live within my means and if I can't afford something, I don't buy it. Simple as that.
