car

i bought a car in december and paid with my switch card. i got a receipt from the garage saying paid in full. as it was my savings account i never checked to see if the money had been taken out. last night the garage owner came to my house and said i had not paid. my question is does he have a right to do this and can he demand the money after 6 months as it was the garage's fault the payment was not processed correctly at their end.

Of course he can. At the end of the day you have benefited from this as you have been earning interest on the funds since December.
