Defaults

I have been looking at my credit report and noticed Vodafone have put 2 defaults on it due to none payment for the same account. Fair enough I did not pay but when they sent a debt collecters letter I paid up.
I do not recall ever receiving a default letter and I have wriiten to Vodafone asking them to provide a copy of my contract and default, they replied by saying they cannot provide either and I should take this letter as confirmation, giving me 2 dates they have wrote to me in the past about paying. This was in 2005
I really want to get rid of these and any help would be greatly appreceiated.
