drawing money from a new cheque

we have just been given a cheque from a building society which was typed rather than filled in by hand. i have just paid this into my bank but i still have to wait for three working days until i can draw on it. Surley because of the this cheque came from a building society there should be no need to wait for it to clear.

After bankrupcy, how long before its in the paper?
