Limit on Visa Debit card.

I have just got a loan to pay off my catalogues (less interest!) and I have just tried to make a £2000 payment, but couldn't. I tried £1000 and it was OK. So I had to do two seperate payments. Does anyone know why I couldn't pay the £2000 in one go?

Did you do both payments on the same day or over two days?

On the same day.
I assume that the account terms and conditions puts a limit on the size of a single transaction, but I'm surprised that they allow you to make two large payments. Is it likely to be an issue for you in future? If so then you need to read the account's terms and conditions
Question Author
Not really an issue, but I did wonder why I couldn't make the payment in one go!
