How can i refund from an unpaid check?

I received a check last month but it is showed unpaid due to I withdraw cash before the check cleared. So, the statement of bank shows it is unpaid check...Now, I have no idea how to refund it? thx for your reply!

As you are saying(US) "check" and not (UK) "cheque",are you in the US because this is a UK site and we may not be able to advise you on US Banking?
That may be why your question seems unaswerable to us.
