self promotion

has anyone got a ideas they would like to share with me regarding self promotion of their business?

i don't mean paper advertisement.... i mean other avenues to go down.

Can you make websites? Lots of people want them but are too busy earning their crusts to put same together.

My business has a dot com name but without its own website. There is a 'US trade magazine' website that can be referred to though.

Hi Rugely, get in touch with your local Chamber of Commerce. They will have some good ideas and will suggest some networking opportunities (possibly an evening function to be attended by people with businesses similar to yours and/or end users).

terem.... i already have the business, i could just do with getting the ame more out there...t hanks for the imput tho.

It would help to know who you want to target. eg business people, independent shopkeepers, tourists, local community groups, general public, childen, students etc. If we knew that it would be easier for us to offer sugestions because they may require very different solutions..
