How Much To Claim On Self Assessment For Laundering Cleaning Cloths

Hi was just wondering what would be considered an acceptable amount for the cost of laundering one load of cleaning cloths once a week for my cleaning business. This will be for self assessment purposes. Thanks in advance

how much do you pay for electricity? If HMRC were to carry out a check on your self assessment, they would undoubtedly consider that the most acceptable amount to claim for laundering one load of cleaning cloths weekly would be what it actually costs you!

So all together around £20 per year i reckon as a rough guess
I do the same for my business. My accountant allows me a portion of my home electricity to go through my books. I think it is about 10%.
