Has anyone used hypnotherapy to lose weight??

Did it work?
Many thanks.

I had 6 sessions of hypno (not the band op) + cbt and lost stone and a half. It just made it easier to control appetite, I had no munchies and did not need to eat in the evenings at all.
Then, about 6 months later the effects wore off and I started to struglle again and put a bit of weight on, went back had 2 sessions and weight gain stopped, lost a bit more. Six month later same story, but this time I didn't have "top up" sessions as I couldn't afford it. I went and bought cd and listen to it 2-3 times a day, it had no effect whatsoever, now I am some 5-6 pounds up but still nowhere near what I was 3 years ago.
I will go back to one to one hypnotherapy including the cbt as soon as I can afford it!
Samaritan colleague of mine is a hypnotherapist and does hypnobanding over 4 sessions. Seems to have a good success rate, but not something I'd do although I too would like to lose some (a lot) of weight.
