Yes

And to me they would be first cousin twice removed. I cam see us having quite a conversation on Sat. night after a few vinos !
Just call them all 'Cus'.

Good idea Tilly ! That's what they do here!
Well, I have a cousin who is more like a niece because her Mum, who is my Auntie, is more like my sister.

I just call her Emily.
surely she is your first cousin zero times removed (same generation) and your children's first cousin once removed?
sorry, I was talking about your cousin. If she's zero times removed (to you) then her daughter is your first cousin once removed, and your children's second cousin.
Pixie @ 1900 is spot on.
if you share the same grandparents you are first cousins, the same great grandparents second cousins and so on. If you are a child of a first cousin then you are first cousin once removed to your parent's cousin. All a bit complicated.

Thanks all ! It will be lovely to see her and her children after 10 years or so.
Can you remember their names, Sam? Have a nice gathering!
Yes these answers are correct but it’s not at all complicated if you remember a few basic rules:

First/second/third cousins are of the same generation. It depends how far up the family tree you have to go to establish common ancestry. As has been explained, first cousins share grandparents, second cousins share great-grandparents, etc.

“Removal” is removed by generation. So your first cousin’s child is your first cousin once removed and your first cousin’s grandchild is your first cousin twice removed. This works both ways so you are the first cousin once removed to your cousin’s child.
She is their second cousin.
And she is your cousin once removed.
