Why do old women 40+ go on holidays and have relationships with Turkish waiter, (it always seems to be a waiter, or the hotel porter) a men who is much younger. the relationship always seems to go badly wrong.
Then they freak out when they rip them off, can they not see the signs?

A friend of mine left her kids with their dad (seperated from him-still is), and went 3 years running to see same 'boy' (about 23) she was 46 1st time she went-she believed his 'love' claims-I thought she was stupid.she's older than me, but his emails stopped in the end and she realised he'd wanted a uk visa and had found a more likely 'sucker'

There do seem to be a lot of stories in magazines about the older woman sending money to a younger man scenario; one I read recently the woman did it twice which did seem to reflect some naievity (if not stupidity) on her part but as usual the media are probably making this situation seem much more common than it really is and after all these women are still the victims and 'seeing the signs' when you are in love with someone is often difficult at the best of times never mind when you are being flattered by someone younger than you!

Kerry, your OP made my jaw drop - 40 isn't remotely old, 40-year-olds are just starting to get the hang of life. I'm well over 40 and if I were single, I'd like to think that I could still get out there and enjoy myself!

my mother has more life in her than most 20 year olds, she wouldn't fall for the rubbish though, she has more sense, and no money.

Usually these young ladies are stunningly beautiful to be with a really old bloke,
if it's what they both want then it is not for anyone to say otherwise I suppose

ooh I bet you wished you had put older not old ! If any woman of any age wants to have sex with a waiter or any other local on holiday I strongly suspect that sex is all it isin 90% of the cases. We all have had friends or still have them who'sjudgement where men are concerned is flawed and this probably accounts for the few you read about in the papers.After all the sensational is what sells not the mundane.
