Why do people read in the toilet? Do you carry on reading once you've done the business? I've never understood this one, so please enlighten me!!

Lovely subject.... I have a supply of quiz books in mine, how bad/sad is that? Might as well top-up the knowledge banks while I'm in there. I see it as more of a thinking-stool, than a toilet.

When im in the loo,I throw empty toilet rolls at the door handle,About 6 foot away. Ive never succeeded in 2 years to hook the roll on the handle.I might have to change the knob!!

My husband and I both read in the toilet - though not at the same time, of course. I think it's maybe a bit of a time-saver. We both do quite a bit of reading for our work. I used to have a bookshelf in the toilet with many books (including toilet humour books) and many-a-time ít was very funny to hear the hoots of laughter coming from the wee-room when my friends were round.

I read on the loo and the bath cos with 2 children and the internetto distract me there's no other chance i get to read!

If I'm reading a novel and need the loo, I usually take it into the bathroom and read it while I sit there, especially if I think I'm going to take along time. I can't bare to think of the wasted time I could have spent reading. I usually carry on reading until I come to the end of a chapter or a natural break, so that I'm sure I've finshed doing what I needed to.

I can't bear to think of wasted time I could have spent reading. I carry on reading until I reach a natural break or chapter ending, to be sure I've finished my business.
