i have type 2 diabetise i have been taking spirulina as asupplement and have felt really good since taking it my doctor has now moved my medication on ,i now have victoza injections once a day can i keep taking my sprulina the doctor doesnt no as a safegaurd i have stopped taking it does anybody have the same problem

How come your doctor doesn't know? I know it's a supplement but he ought to be able to look it up! Can I suggest you go to a good health food shop and ask them there - or better still, ask your local pharmacist? They are highly qualified and should be able to advise.

OK Just check my figures if you need, but about 50% of Type 2 diabetics go on to require further management by injection and this is nothing to do with taking supplements e.g Spirulina.

Tell your doctor about Spirulina, but I would imagine he will show scant interest.
