My local Morrisons supermarket sells cystitis treatment sachets, as does the co-op late shop.
the treatment sachets are rally just to stop bacteria sticking inside like drinking cranberry and to ease any pain. You really need antibiotics, the only thing that will clear it up now you ae bleeding. I feel for you I've had it twice now and its not nice
Some larger supermarkets might but those are a load of rubbish for more severe infections (such as yours sounds) get to the doctor/walk in clinic as soon as possible and get some anti-biotics if you can!
but yes as daffy says they do sell them in tesco and morrisons, but they are not a treatment
Definitely, most supermarkets do sell remedies for cystitis, awful for you, hope you get this cleared up soon...drink lots of cranberry juice too which will help lots ! !
If you can't stomach cranberry juice (as I can't), try drinking lemon barley water. It neutralise the urine (or something like that) to help prevent it burning as you wee.

The sachets are a treatment but will only work for fairly mild cystitis. As your bout sounds severe you will probably need antibiotics as others have said. If you have an out of hours clinic nearby I would advise that you pay a visit.
even canesten oasis is advertsied as 'relief of the symptoms of cystitus as with the barley water it reduces the acidity level in your urine so it doesnt hurt as much when you wee

You should see a doc as soon as if -

•your urine is darker than normal, cloudy or blood is present
•you are feeling generally unwell, with the shivers and a high temperature
•you have severe stomach, groin or back pain
•you have an unusually heavy vaginal discharge

Thank you everyone. My husband just gone down to our supermarket. we have Co-op, morrison and asda. to get me something. No doctors now until monday and we havent got any walk in clinics.here.
are they not open on saturday mornings?
Question Author
No not here in somerset.
If you telephone your surgery out of hours number, they can sometimes arrange for you to pick something up at a chemist. I know I did this when my daughter had her bag stolen with meds in late one Friday night.

good ol nurse mamy :-)
Worth a try and they may advise also.
I am of course not a nurse, just base my answers and advice on life experiences etc.
