Bladder stretch

I was reading a thread about bladder stretching. My mother had this done 2 years ago and has had little or no slep since. She feels that this operation has distorted her ureter as she wakes with a bad pain under her ribs,and feels that urine is being retained in her kidneys. When she stands up she has all the signals to empty her bladder.
Has anyone else had such a bad reaction or any advise to offer? I know that it is impossible to repair a ureter but there must be some hope for her!

Has she spoken to a doctor, or been referred back to the surgeon who performed the operation? this seems like the sensible thing to do to me!

Yes. The doctor who performed the process wouldnt like to admit anything went wrong, and it is him that she gets referred to. She has been sent to a pain management clinic but feels this is just masking the symptoms.
