Does anyone know what would be a Traditional Wedding Present for a Polish Wedding? A friend of ours is getting married (in 2 years time, but I plan ahead! LOL) near Krakow, and we would like to give her and her (Polish) husband a Traditional Wedding Present (if there IS such a thing). They live here,so wouldn't (we hope) be taking the gift to Poland and back. Any Suggestions are welcome, but not cash as that's boring.

My Polish friend was given crystal, vases, jugs etc but she says anything the couple need really IAP. She does have some lovely crystal though.

And you can't go wrong with a bottle of Wisniowka! Burns your throat out, but the after-effects are brilliant!!! : )

Well I wouldnt've ever heard of it, except that I went to a Polish wedding myself once, and was offered this "nice cherry drink" by the groom's father. Not wishing to be anti-social, I took a sip of it...quite a big sip....and just sat there, eyes popping out...couldn't even speak! Lol.

Crystal would be quite a traditional gift BUT Poland is renowned for its crystal (plus much cheaper than here) so I definitely wouldn't give crystal unless it was bought there. I think the plane tickets idea is lovely.

I've been to 2 Polish weddings. Be warned - they tend to last two days.
My liver has never been the same since!
(For both weddings they had a wedding pressie list and I bought something from their lists)
