Need a cure for twitch in leg!!!

The top of my leg has been twitching since yesterday afternoon and it is driving me crazy. I can sit and watch my leg and see it moving because of the twitch. What causes twitches and any ideas on how to stop them?

Muscle twitching can be caused by adrenaline being released into the body as the result of anxiety. Exercise helps to use up this excess of adrenaline....so get moving!

Probably like the type of twitch you get in the eye which is very irritating. Usually due to tiredness, it should go off in a day or two.

I think I read somewhere that drinking cold water can help restless legs which I suppose is similar to your problem. Havnt needed to try it but at least its free, so try it and let me know if it works

It could just be a nervous tick (more commonly found in the facial muscles. It could be a trapped nerve when yuou sit.
It could be "restless legs" which can be helped by low dose of levodopa or even the onset of Parkinson's. Best to see your doc who may send you to a neurologist if he/she thinks it's sufficiently noticable.
