Do you wear contact lens, what do you think of the disposable ones. I would like to try them especially on holiday when I could wear sunglasses as I don't have prescription ones. was considering laser eye surgery but still a bit doubtful!

bite the bullet and face the laser... it's scary but you'll be sooooo happy you did it!

They take a bit of getting used to but I'd def recommend them. I use disposable ones when on an evening out.

I use the disposable ones. They cost around £20 per month. However I don't need strong lenses so I only use them if I am going for a long drive or need to wear sunglasses. They are really good. As I only wear them occasionally I only buy a few boxes and they last me the year.

I wore monthlies for about 14 years then switched to dailies and they're great.
They are so much more comfortable and fresher and clearer.
Get a trial to see how you find them,

I agree with most of the answers above, dailies are so easy and comfortable. You don't need to clean them, or worry if you drop one on the floor and can't find it!
You may not be suitable for laser, I wasn't, as my prescription was changing with each visit to the optometrist!

Disposable lenses are great. What I love about them is you can just wear them now and again and they are comfortable. I used to wear hard lenses and it would take absolutely ages to build up enough tolerance to be able to wear them all day.
I use Acuvue. I only wear them at weekends and the odd night out during the week so I get an occasional user package via the optician. I get 30 pairs every 3 months so it is not too pricey.
If you are thinking of laser surgery make sure you see a very well-qualified independent optician. Don't just rely on what the company flogging the treatment tells you. A lot of people are not suitable for it and it can have side-effects. My aunt had it and whilst it has dramatically improved her eyesight she still does need glasses and she gets vision problems when driving at night. She has actually stopped driving at night.

I mentioned having lazer eye surgery to my bloke the other day and he said well if anything goes wrong I wont go out with a blind person, charming!!

I wear contacts too, and asked about the disposable one.
Apparently I have an anstigmatism and cannot wear disposables.
Don't know whether that is true or not, but it is a pain having to take all solutions on holidays and glasses!!
Now I just wear my glasses and have prescription sunglasses.

Get to the laser clinic, best thing i ever did.

funnygirl - I have astigmatism and I wear disposables with no problem! There are ones especially for astigmatism, but I didn't like them. My optician said I might not be able to get on with normal disposables, but was willing to give me some trial pairs and they were fine. My eyesight is not quite as crisp as it would be with the special lenses, but it is perfectly fine and the optician was actually impressed with how far I got down the sight chart.

funnygirl - try asking for toric lenses. They're soft lenses for people with astigmatisms x
