I'm absolutely sick of my spots! I've had them for years now, but I don't have acne - i just get random spots appearing around my face. It's really annoying me now! Does anyone know any remedies that actually work? Would appreciate help! x

Maybe try and combat the cause rather than the symptoms.
Do you have oily skin that could be controlled better, do you have a good skincare routine and drink lots of water.
Could it be make up or hair product causing them if you have hair which sits on your face?
Is it more of a time of the month thing?
Could looking at your diet and lifestyle help it?

As Jenna said, you should probably look at the cause. It could be poor diet or skincare routine or hormonal.
Like you, I get ocassional random spots, which can be large, inflamed and painful. I think the main cause of mine is hormonal, as I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
I've found though, since I've been using Dermalogica products, particularly their Dermal Clay Cleanser, I get spots less often and if I do, they clear up alot quicker than before. I don't really use spot or acne products, as they are very harsh on the skin.
Also, make sure you exfoliate up to 2 times per week, as this will remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Again, I highly recommend the Dermalogica range.

Try this unconventional remedy, works on my children:
AT night........half teaspn salt in egg cup of warm water. Wipe over spots/face with foam sponge. When dry (naturally) powder spots/face with athletes foot powder.
Do it for 1 week and all should be clear.......let me know how u get on.

Are you serious Tera? Surely not.

I'm intrigued by Tera's answer too. Wouldn't the spots normally be clear after one week anyway, never mind going through all of that hastle?
