Make sure you're eating a decent diet and getting all your vitamins and minerals.

Soak them in olive oil and moisturise with vaseline and avoid harch chemicals such as nail varnish remover and polishes.

Get regular manicures to keep your nails in shape.

Hello, I found my nails grew stronger when I started to wear rubber gloves to do the washing up and then moisturise after hand washing, worked a treat !

I have the same problem---working in a kitchen means my nails are in a dreadful state!!...I should wear gloves, but 90% of the time I forget them-help!!! I need a miracle cure-I am forever putting on and taking off nail varnish. Sally Hansen has made a mint off me-lol

Hi everyone!
Sorry gulliver, I think your diet has a lot to do with the state of your nails, but soaking them in olive oil can soften them generally. After a few days, you should begin to notice an improvement.

Over the last 20 years, I have tried about every remedy people suggested or I read somewhere.
Unfortunately to no avail!
My nails are still as bad as ever!

A balanced diet has a lot to do with ones appearance.
