Wow. Get a phone call at 6ish to tell me mr B had an anaphylactic reaction to a wasp sting. A+E bloody fantastic and 6 hrs later I'm back home and he's asleep at the hospital with his body covered in a rash, his hand and arm swollen and so hot... and it felt really strange to to touch. I've just picked up 2 Epi Pens from the pharmacy for him.
On top of that little adventure? his mum is in intensive care. We've been told she's not coming home.
His aunt was in a fire. She's also in hospital and it's just a waiting game for her too.
His dad is frail from strokes, subarachnoid haemmorhages and thyroid cancer. Tick Tock goes the clock.
I'm glad I've cancelled me neurology appointment lol....

How are you lot??? xxx

mr B's fine btw. He'll live. Not a bad commute home from work then all in all lol... he was stung on the train, just as he gave his seat to a little old lady :) bless him.

beryllium,i know exactly what you mean.Ive lost 7 close relatives, you need a sense of humour daft as it sounds.Stay strong, thats all i can say.xxxx
Question Author
I think I've been to 2 of his relatives funerals already. They are not close to me. They're his relatives.
I'm just glad he's still here. Otherwise it's just me and the dog lol....
wow... double G&T coming up for you... nasty things, wasps - has he been stung before? Because it's sometimes a second sting that sets off a bad reaction. Anyway, you guys should probably be off to the nearest carnival to celebrate; it's just not your time to go yet
hope today is a better day for you b !
Hope Mr b now fully recovered x
What a worry for you beryllium , glad mr b is recovering :-)
Good heavens berillium, your family is really going through it! Soooo happy for you two that Mr. B is going to be alright! I wish you both strength for times to come which, from what you have told us, will surely be very difficult. Isn't it strange how so many things come at once? Not fair, but I am sure your relationship / love will help you both through this. Best wishes to you both from Ratter and me. XXX Big hug :o)
We are fine as always, no more crutches for me ... feels fantastic if at times somewhat painful still. So happy though to have me new knees! Not planning any marathons yet though!
awwww beryl, i'm so sorry-it puts my broken wrist into prospective huh? I hope Mr B recovers soon as will be home asap. Also sorry to hear that his family are in ill health, life sometimes blows huh?

Love to you and yours

Well... Hello All :)
and huge amounts of thanks for such lovlieness.
mr B is recovering slowly. Still swolen on his hand and arm but face/lips/even his ears!!! have gone back to normal colour lol.... he's being given steroids and antihistimine i.v and today home.
I need to get him up to see his mum, and I'll go do some shopping therapy in Kingston :)
B00 :) what happened at the fracture clinic? does one need pinning darling?
jno bruv bought me a bottle of Bombay over so I shall have a G+T tonight and say cheers to you :)
Carakeel :) Good to read you are recovering, brave girl. Was that a double knee job? well done!!!
Sense my favourite film hehe :)
Mamma I did have a giggle at the hospital last night. Friday nights A+E is much better than Holby/Casualty on tv lol I don't think I was actually worried as he was seen to immediately. No hanging around. I even went home and walked the dog. :)
Hau Kola did you loose all 7 at the same time? or within days??? etc....
K.P, Doc and Oopsey Thank you Thank you Thank you. :)

xxxxxxxxx
as of yet beryl no, the specialist said that it should have been pinned from beginning, but seeing as the bones haven't "shifted" in the plaster for the last 2 weeks he was happy enough to see how they went for another 2 weeks (big of him!). Said i'd not to do anything but rest the arm up as it will shift, but bloody impossible with a 2yr old huh?

Anyway, i'm back again in 2 weeks, to go through it all again :-(

I probably sound hard, but I've seen it all before, and I think out of pain is good.
I've now got to tell mr B the minute he steps through the door, and he's going to be spaced on pain killers....

Now where's that Bombay Sapphire lol....

Love to You Dris and All and as soon as everything is 'normalish' I'll mail you. I still have a long mail I wrote to you that never got sent..... but always in my thoughts Dris :)
