Glaucoma

Anyone with personal experience of glaucoma? I've tried all the www links, and some are useful, but I would like to hear from other people who've got it. Do the eye drops work? Will I go blind? etc.

My uncle was diagnosed with glaucoma about 15 years ago and was told he'd be blind 'by the time he was 50' - he's now nearly 60 and has not deteriorated since the initial diagnosis
The eye drops do work if detected in time. It used to be a 17th century pressure guage, then a puff of air. Nowadays the test is quicker or easier. Have you been detected with it?

Hello football. (Now how surreal is that as a greeting). Yes, diab. retinopathy, now glaucoma. Loadsalaser hits, now trying drops to bring pressure down. Symptomless, of course. Docs. all hopeful, but they usually are. I just wondered what the feeling on the street was.
