Hair removal / folicle killing cream

A recent thread reminded me - i saw an ad in a sunday paper ages ago, selling cream that claimed to stop hair growing for good, has anyone heard of this and if so where can i get some ?.

It would save a lot of time and money not having to shave my head and face anymore !.

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty certain that there is no cream that can stop hair growing for good. Permanant hair removal can only be achieved with electrolysis or laser hair removal. The creams that are advertised in the weekend papers are usually hair growth inhibitors. The idea is that after you have shaved you use the cream daily and the hair grows back slower. You can buy these creams in Boots and Superdrug as well as by mail order. I've tried a couple of different ones and what a waste of money that was! I might as well have rubbed lard on my skin for all the good they did! If ever a permanant hair removing cream is invented, I will be first in the queue.
