Ayup, Na' then 'a is everybody? doin alreight ah 'ope! (You can take a person out of Yorkshire but you cannot take Yorkshire out of a person).

What have we all been up to whilst I've been here there and everywhere? I've missed you all, except Sqad - no, I'm only joking mate, I know I've been a pain in the behind in the past and even then you've still given me sound advice - which has always been 'right on the money'. I just wanted to apologise to you and anyone else that I've angered or upset over the past 8 years on AnswerBank - I could have took a header into vintage cheddar and still not turned out mature! (However I ain't dim thee knows - nobody calls me 5 watt).

I'll finish in the same way as I started (not to be confused with 'I'll start so I'll finish - Mastermind).....

Ear all, see all, say nowt. Eat all, sup all, pay nowt. And if ever thou does owt fer nowt – allus do it fer thissen!

Thanks :)

Murraymints: I've just come back from Stronsay (a right ball ache of a journey - 20 hours drive and 4 ferries (8 hours on a ferry) - round trip!). My step father passed away December last year so my mother decided to move as far north as possible (not the furthest however 'near enough'). It isn't a journey I can do often and it certainly isn't one that my partner can do; she's now been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Combine that with Asperger's and the unorganised traveling (nothing is every straight forward in my family) and you have one very unhappy woman!

Mamya & Ummmm: Nice to see you, to see you nice :) We're both doing alright, a few up and down moments however you do know me rather well so in reality; it's my norm! I'm still teetotal and apart from some manageable abdominal pain, I'm on the mend; my liver is now fully repaired and my pancreas is quickly following suit. Apart from the odd seizure here and there, I've not stepped foot in hospital due to alcohol since 2015 (you know how often I was a patient - I had my own parking space at one point!). I know I've said this before however I want to say it again - thank you to you both for supporting me after my wife left me; had I not had your support I honestly doubt that I'd still be alive. If you are in my area and need somewhere to crash - to save having to find a hotel or for whatever reason, you are welcome to stay at my house (you both know where I live however due to personal reasons I'm not willing to share the location on AB). How are you and your families doing?

jourdain2: Cheers :) I don't live in 'Sheff'old' anymore however I'm still in Yorkshire ;) How's Yorkshire life treating thee? good I 'ope!

Right, I think I've just about finished writing this essay! I'm chuffed that all the AB regulars (most of them I think) are still active on the site - I'll even give AB Editor a wave too

She's doing fine! With here on the Island that makes the total population of 341 - pretty quite I know. She's out in the middle of nowhere however it's what she wanted and I believe she'll thoroughly enjoy her retirement there. I wouldn't have gone that far out, especially given that it's already cost her £20,000 just to move her furniture and belongings to Stronsay!

The missus is calling now, I best get a move on!

I'll ask my mum to send me some photos of the house and the island (I never got chance to take any photos whilst I was out there - I spent most of the time getting her TV aerial, internet connection, radio and computer up and running). I'll get them uploaded and share them on here - hopefully she's got some photos of the dogs in the snow (it's snowing very heavily on the island at the moment so she's snowed in - not that it makes much difference given that there isn't anything on the island anyway; also she has a land rover so she can still get about!).
