Hello!

It's that time again, we're approaching that most holy of things: a bank holiday. But not any bank holiday, it's the one where Moses casts a plague of chocolate eggs on our supermarkets.

(Sorry, is that right?)

PREVIOUSLY ON ONWARDS AND DOWNWARDS: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1538043.html

What would be a more appropriate way to celebrate easter for those of us not breaking chocolate eggs to make a chocolate fondant?

All the best,

Ed

Have a dram or two of a decent whisky
Cheers Ed.
Indulge in some really, really dark chocolate. Good for you and a little goes a long way.
I've got lots of chocolatey low cal/ low sun Slimming World recipes( I used to be a consultant) .
Almost forgot to note it here on the Wednesday thread.

Same old story. Down 1.4 lbs over the last 24 hours but up 1.2 lbs over the week. No wonder clothes are feeling tighter.
And down another 8 lbs in 24 hours. These 3 day weekends are sure taking their toll on me. Can't seem to compensate in the remaining 4 days.
I didn't see it until you posted it OG.
Probably had to catch it in 'latest posts' when it was created :-)
Thanks Ed. What indeed!
Down 8 lbs OG.????
Good morning all, hmmmmmmm........need I say more?
That is an example of why I dislike tech that makes me look idiotic, and a lack of edit facility that ensures it stays there mocking me forever. Clearly I wrote 0.8 lbs :-(

This week I'm down 0.6 lbs. Most of it dropped yesterday. And since I was up after the weekend, even more was dropped over the previous 24 hours.
How often do you weigh yourself OG?
Every morning I can. If I'm away from home that's not possible. So weekends are hit & miss.
O_G, for a better idea of your weight loss, try weighing yourself once a week only, at the same time, wearing the same things and after ablutions.
You can easily gain or lose a pound depending on the amount you've had to drink.
Thank you. I'll bear that in mind.
OG I was going to say exactly the same as Cloverjo. Having worked in the weight loss industry one of the main things we were taught was how weighing daily can have such a negative effect. Because your body weight can vary so much in 24 hrs depending what you've eaten/drank/ been to the loo etc (I can be 4lbs different in just a day)it's not showing a realistic weight. And it plays tricks with the mind. Say youre on a diet and eating really healthily and like what the scales say on a Monday then for no reason you weigh yourself on a Wednesday and you're up a pound , with a lot of people it tends to make them think oh this isn't working so I might as well give up and they go off the rails completely. Whereas if you'd waited to weigh till the following Monday. It would have corrected itself and you'd have probably lost a bit too. Once a week is the only way to weigh : )
Weighed yesterday by mistake and down just over a pound . Still, the same today . Not had any naughty chocolate .But had some Devon fudge so not hopeful for next Wednesday .
Oh dear, up 0.6lbs this morning. Can't really be surprised though. Kept feeling hungry for some reason, tried to find something not to "high" to quell it, but it didn't and I went off getting something else. Was About 1/3rd over intake goal yesterday by the end of the day. Maybe today will be better.
I get those "hungry" days too OG. It's only when I'm home. I've found that if I've got my teeth into some job I don't think about food but I can't be working 24/7. Hmmm
