Facial Tics

hi, my husband has some facial and body tics. He informs me he has had them since he was a child and they get more intense with pressure/stress, although even when he is for example quietly reading he has them.
Not really a problem - he got a bit bullied at school because of them, but is now an adult who can deal with any ribbing that comes his way about them (although it's rare)
The problem is that i have noticed our daughter seems to be mimicking the tics. I don't want to make a big thing of it especially in front of her. I haven't asked her if she's noticed or if she can control them (and she probably wouldn't be able to answer; she's 4)
what is the best way to approach this ?

she may grow out of the habit when she starts school and is mixing with a wider group?
This is not an uncommon problem of which i do not know the cause or the treatment, but i have seen this, not infrequently, run in families.
My knowledge of psychotherapy is limited as you may well know, but if one focuses on this, it may well make the condition worse.
Perhaps other ABers may be more helpful bednobs.

thanks for your responses - she has been at school for two terms already. I cnt imagine i wuld want to medicate her for them, and also i cant imagine psychotherapy for a 4 year old, so i guess it's just watch and wait and hope she grows out of it, or learns to manage the horribeness of other people
