Recently I was drinking a bit too much like every night and I had an overall feeling of impending doom. I was really sick and could not see anything at all good in my life. It caused me to drink more and I watched some youtube channels etc and I started believing some crazy conspiracy theories. I have stopped drinking and its getting better. Does this mean that basically I can never drink as I am not suited to it?

Re: conspiracy theories. I do like to look in to these sort of things but they can get obsessive. Many years ago I read David Ickes book, The Biggest Secret. Its a mammoth book and took ages to read but I remember that at the time it did my head in and I struggled to see the world in the same way as I had done previously. I'm not sure " not suited " is the issue , do you have an alcohol problem?
not necessarily, but basically if it makes you unhappy, why do it? As anneasquith asks, do you feel you have to do it?
If you've been feeling depressed and drinking too much it certainly won't help as I'm sure you know drink is a depressant. Seems you've been caught in a dark place recently, reading all the conspiracy stories! I read them at times and they make me feel very down and that's without drink! Try avoiding alcohol for a while and conspiracy stories and see if you start to see the light again
If not, do see your GP
All the best
Drink but ... stop watching crazy conspiracy theories

Can I ask, what are the 'Conspiracy Theories'you mention?

Maybe,make an effort to'hang with'friends,that don't drink/or often.
Excessive drinking is not a good lifestyle, but exotic "herbal" ciggies is even worse. Especially late night sessions on the mad web afterwards. Stay off all of it for a while Ukanan and you will find that the panic and feelings of acute concern will diminish. Try to get outdoors and get some exercise as well.
I'm guessing the coming war with China or Iran? (Other conspiracy theories are available)

As regards drinking, I myself struggle to stay sober at times.

Prolonged use (misuse) of alcohol is a known inducer of paranoia.

As gruesome, and horrific as it is to contemplate..my reasons are multiple and based in simple Physics, but probably best answered by the 1500+Distinguished Scientists,Architects,Demolition Experts etc.who contributed to the Canadian Commission into the the events of 9/11.
nailit,

I would be interested in your views on 9/11.
