I'm wrapping up well but I'm still cold all over. If I go somewhere warm it's lovely for a minute or two but then I start feeling cold again. I'm also sleeping for about 10 hours a night. I feel ok apart from this. It's not right is it. It started about a week or two ago. Any ideas?

I have been the same for the last couple of days and then developed a hacking cough and now a cold.....I am warm for the first time in a week.....hope it is just a cold for you...I do find that abrisk walk helps to warm me up . Oh and I am sleeping way longer than normal ................having said all this if you are woriied or it continues pop in to see your doctor

Question Author
No, I've had nothing checked. I just found out my doctor has retired along with three others in the practice (all far too young) and apparently it's hell on earth trying to get an appointment. No excuse I know but as I say it has only been like this for a little while, hence asking here first.

Thanks MallyJ. I happen to hike in the hills regularly and it is always a cold wind up there. I wrap up for the conditions and I just feel the same level of cold as I do when home.
I agree with 237SJ........two things come to mind.a) underactive thyroid b) Type 2 diabetes.
A blood test will quickly sort that out.
Another long shot would be a defective heart valve.
You need to see a doctor.
Have you a high temperature?
Question Author
See, I went to bed just after my last post and I've just woken up.
johnk, no my temperature is fine.
I'm off to see if I can get a doctors appointment in a minute.
Thanks for all your answers.
