Last day of holiday today - my MIL has been to our house every day to feed my two cats - mum and daughter aged 10 and 12. She's gone in today to find mum dead on kitchen floor. She's txt hubby to tell me which he couldn't for several hours. Am devastated and can't stop crying, she was perfectly well and bounding round house like a kitten when we left!. Just can't believe it

Very sad and it will hit you harder because you weren't there, sounds like a sudden death so am sure no suffering involved.

I feel for you.x
Oh what a shame , how dreadful for you, it looks as though it might have been quick and she did not suffer, my heart goes out to you.
I'm sorry to hear that news, Smow. I do feel for you.

I cannot stop crying. She was my baby
So sorry, Smow. We lost our dear girl in June - also sudden - so we do feel for you. Cry as much as you need to. x
So sorry for you Smow - unless you've owned a pet you don't know how it feels to lose them, part of the family. Thinking of you, ((hugs)) xx
Oh sweetie sorry to hear this, but she was at least she was happy and somewhere she was loved.

Cats are very wise had you been there she probably would have waited till you were asleep.

I had one old girl who took herself off to pass away.

Big hugs to you
So sorry Smow...at least she's had a good life with you.
I know exactly what it feels like x.

Sounds like something very sudden so as others have said, take comfort that she probably didn't suffer and she was in familiar surroundings where she knew she was loved.
sorry to hear this Smow, take heart in your happy memories of hers.
I'm also really sorry to hear this, it was always my worry when on holiday and in-laws were looking after my cats. Awful news for you to get on holiday.
My sympathy is with you snowy....its always sad to lose a pet.
phew... I first read this as saying it was YOUR mum she found dead! So... sad as it is, it could have been worse, I suppose. Sorry to hear it, all the same.
oh dear..so sorry to see this smow...xx
It must be awful for this to happen when you were away. It is horrible to lose a member of your family so suddenly and at a relatively young age.

I am sorry to hear about this Smowball.

x
So sorry Smow, just read this. My baby went away to die, never found her body.
I know it hurts like hell.

Haven't slept a wink : (
So sorry to see that smow. It's always hard to lose a much loved friend.

Thinking of you sweetheart. xxx

I know she was 12 but am struggling to believe she's died of old age. You would never ever have thought she was older than 2 or 3. She was racing round the house the day before chasing the other one x
