I am paying for an op privately because it is not available on the NHS where I live.

If I am unwell afterwards - can I go to my GP? I am just slightly worried if it goes a bit Pete Tong that I can't use the NHS to get help.

TIA

Thanks for the answers

Campelking - I am having the Op in the UK so can't imagine much can go wrong but I just needed to know where I stand.
I'm pretty ssure that even in these times of bed shortages you won't have to stand, Islay.
