Has anyone tried it ? And been successful in weight loss? If so which one did you do and how was it? I am 3 stone overweight. I need to lose it and fast. I have seen how people treat me since I put on weight. It's hard to explain.

You probably put the weight on gradually. Gradually is the way to get rid of it. There are no quick fixes and a very low calorie diet falls into that category.
It took me from July last year to lose 3St 9Lbs.

phleb, lose weight because you want to, not because of what anybody else thinks.
A very low calorie diet is not healthy. Take a deep breath, accept you don't have to change overnight, and get into healthy eating habits. That's the way to go.

i lost 3 stones in 4 weeks on slimfast...not for everyone but worked for me !
You need a change in lifestyle and when you lose the weight don't go back to any bad habits.

VLCD plans are usually 500/ 1000 calories a day!! If following this you need to make sure you're eating something for each meal time and not go over the total number of calories.

VLC and low fat do not work! The failure rate is quite high as you experience constant hunger and it's not sustainable in the long term.
Reduce/cut out any processed food and sugar that you eat. I'm a great believer in low carb...it's worked for me and I know that as soon as I consume more,my weight is guaranteed to creep up. Eat healthy,wholesome food,and eat until satisfied. Try not to snack. It will take time but you'd drop those 3 St in about 6 months.

phleb, I have to follow a VLCD in Jan before I go in for my OP - having previously only done it for 2 weeks at a time - I know a month is going to be difficult!!
