I couldn't find a section that covers this subject so I will stick it here.

I have 'borrowed' a poster and am planning on changing and adjusting it to make it look prettier - and more ...... brain gone numb

Can I ask for someone who doesn't use their fingers to count (me) to check this over and make sure that the figures are correct or almost correct.

Thanks Frankie, Princess Merlin and their human slave

That's a nice poster but multiplication, particularly by cats, is beyond me. :-)

My vet told me once that cats breed like rabbits. Try getting your brain around that.

I don't think people realise how quickly moggies breed or they let their cat/dog have open litter.

All I can say is that boy cats look to diet with their balls removed and Merlin has as much maternal instinct as her human mum.
I'm unsure. Seems more complicated than it should be but maybe that's because I've not put the data down in an easy to read manner.

The kittens from a previous year, they are now cats rather than still kittens ?

At the risk of making a fool of myself I'm unsure it is right.
This will not look right but maybe copy and align the columns yourself and see what you think ?

_____Year 0__Year 1__Year 2__Year 3__Year 4
________2_______2_______2_______2_______2
_______________________________________12
_______________________________12______12
_______________________________________72
_______________________12______12______12
_______________________________72______72
_____________________________________ 432
_______________12______12______12______12
_______________________72______72______72
______________________________432_____432
_____________________________________2592

kittens_0______12______84_____516____3108
total___2______14______98_____614____3722

I now await to be told where my deliberate mistake is.

O_g I'm too tired to do it properly tonight but will check it when my cats wake me in the morning.

The girls can start breeding at around four months so you can imagine that, for example, in a feral colony there is the potential for problems. Can you imagine them wandering along to use the nice bathroom facilities you have in your garden.

I think that humans do more harm than good to other animals on our planet.

But if anyone has any suggestions on how to shut up the fekking birds flying overhead and perched on rooftops I would be ever so grateful. They are driving me and my little angelic moggies nuts

Mamy - thanks. Getting a doctor's appointment used to be much easier. I seem to spend my time weeing and sleeping. When I get up during the night to wee Young Francis moves so that my share of the bed gets smaller. :-)

PP - don't know who feebo cat is but Frankie was called Greebo when he moved in and took over the house.

I will check out your link but it may end up being just like Mr Geezer's chart.

The figures are probably right, but I just need to find a logical way for me to check them.
