Been feeling a little weak and shaky last couple of days. I took my blood pressure this afternoon and it was 95/55. I think that's a bit too low? Can anyone advise?

If you think your machine is reliable and it's not usually that low then perhaps a visit to GP is in order. I'm not medical but think that is a little below the 'normal' banding, both figures.
My average blood pressure is around 87/55, my GP is happy not to give me any drugs as I tell him I feel fine, no adverse effects.
The only time it causes a problem is when I have been in hospital, feel like a prisoner trying to escape. Anaesthetists love me though.
Hopefully a medic will around to give actual advice.
Warm, sticky weather + low blood pressure suggests simple dehydration to me. Try increasing your fluid intake.

That is low. As Chico suggests, plenty of fluids and check in a couple of days. I have one of those gizmos but they are not reliable. I get wildly varying results within the space of a minute.

Thank you all for your quick responses. My blood pressure has been on the low side for years. It's usually around 110/68 . My BP machine is quite new and has been reliable. Will check it again later then again tomorrow. If still too low, will ring doctor tomorrow for an appointment as I definitely don't feel right. By the way, I drink loads of water!
patsy could you not have your bp machine calibrated with the docs , my doc did it for me
Would a chemist read your BP? The kit they use would probably be accurate.
It is a tad on the low side. Stay well hydrated.
Well I didn't think much of Padstow.
Sorry, wrong thread.
I've had BP readings that should have exploded my eyeballs and others that are so low that I should have imploded - had a week- long home readings taken by me twice daily, apparently I'm disgustingly healthy. Agree with the other posts that say you need to stay hydrated as dehydration causes you to hold onto sodium (salt) which increases high blood pressure. Weak and shakey are symptoms may be of this but I'm not a medic.
Careful how you get out of bed or chair. Too Quick and you could black out and harm yourself. Take It slowly.!!!

Thanks again all. Still on the low side today but no worse. Definitely feel strange, can't quite describe it. apart from feeling weak and not quite with it at times. If no change by Monday, will definitely make appointment at doctors.
